The Hospitality Cart Program is a unique way to bring a little joy to children and their families while being hospitalized. We provide snacks, beverages, and activities throughout Pediatric Units.
For parents who are reluctant to leave their critically ill or injured child even for just a moment, these bright and cheerful carts are a welcome sight.
On August 25, 2021, RMHC of El Paso in partnership with Memorial Medical Center, unveiled the Hospitality Cart, which offers support to families of children being treated at MMC. The Hospitality Cart is stationed on the first floor inside the PICU waiting area. The cart is stocked with small meals, snacks, refreshments, and activity kits.
On November 17, 2021, RMHC of El Paso announced their partnership with The Hospitals of Providence Children’s Hospital and The Junior League of El Paso to introduce The Heart Cart. The Heart Cart offers support to families of children who are unable to leave their child’s bedside. The Heart Cart is stocked with small meals, snacks, refreshments, and activity kits. Family Room volunteers travel within the NICU and Pediatric departments offering comfort and support to families.
